HEX WEDDING PART IV: MAKE A LITTLE BIRDHOUSE IN YOUR SOUL

It’s been a while, because burnout is a BITCH, but we’re back with the final shots from my wedding with Bex on January 4th.

A lot of these are candid, weird little moments from throughout the day. Quite a few of them are not professional, but thanks again to Gen Palmer for doing our actual, high resolution photography! She’s the BEST.

Jenn did an INCREDIBLE job on my hair and makeup! Bonus, a great view of the earrings made by my daughter Brianna-Lynn!

And this is Jenn! She only stabbed me in the eyes with the liner a little

And this is my accidental Buffy the Vampire Slayer cosplay.

I was hiding in the vestibule at this point, and I got ambushed by The Moms.

Bree came to hide in the vestibule with me for a bit, shit was OVERWHELMING

Jenn also found me in the vestibule. Her hands were a bit steadier than mine at this point.

Here’s us kind of in shock. We put this entire thing together in just about six weeks, and this was more or less the culmination of all the planning and scheming and stress. Cathartic as hell.

I can do this neat wraparound with my cloak, but it makes me look a bit like Leto II. Which makes Jenn and Ella my Fish Speakers!

Here’s Leto II, for reference.

"My body is about seven meters long and somewhat more than two meters in diameter, ribbed for most of its length, with my Atreides face positioned man-height at one end, the arms and hands (still quite recognizable as human) just below. My legs and feet? Well, they are mostly atrophied. Just flippers, really, and they have wandered back along my body. The whole of me weighs approximately five old tons." Leto II, God Emperor Dune

Pretty sure Betsy took a few of these, got a good angle on the AMAZING job Jenn did on my hair! Lookit how good it looks!

Another angle on the kiss. Our height disparity still amuses me to no end.

Immediately after the ceremony, back in the vestibule, but this time we’re married! Jenn fusses with my hair as Gen takes the photo at the exact moment my tongue is doing something weird.

Moms sign the wedding license as witnesses.

Frog (right) and Toad (left) are friends.

Ella managed to get a selfie with me at the reception! We were making it all up as we went, so I’m not surprised I didn’t take more myself!

This was the only shot I really took at the reception, which we had at the Under The Moon Cafe, which is not only our favorite brunch place, but conveniently five minutes walk down the road from the Unitarian church! It worked out SHOCKINGLY well! Try the crispy brussel sprouts!

The morning after, and possibly the greatest text message I’ve ever received.

I was actually making myself a lovely little breakfast when Bex texted me! Just me, my gorgeous bouquet, and a “healthy” amount of bacon.

And then they wore comfy clothes and watched cartoons, which isn’t too shabby for a happily ever after.

We went back to Bordentown in April, after I had finally moved in with Bex properly. It was a damned good time, and a lot less planning and stress went into this trip!

Love you, Soups.

We’ve had a wildly unconventional relationship. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

And…Not to put to fine a point on it, say I’m the only bee in your bonnet…

The End.

Maybe.
